Ginger, our Miniature Schnauzer, was purchased from a breeder in St.
Petersburg in early July 2006. Her birthday is April 22, 2006, so she
was not even three months old when I got her.
I never thought I’d own a dog, but I always knew that if I did, I wanted a Mini Schnauzer. I always loved how they looked wise and smart, with their salt-and-pepper coloration and “wise old man” beards.
Well, in the almost three years that I’ve had Ginger, she has proven that she is wise beyond her years.
She isn’t just a pet to me or anyone that knows her. She is a member of the family, and a very important one. She is the best friend a guy could ever have. She protects us, she cares about us, and she loves us with all her heart.
When I am out of the house, Ginger misses me so much, and I miss her too. The excitement she shows when I return, even if I'm gone for 15 minutes to run to Walgreens, is unmatched even by any humans that I know. I couldn’t ask for a more loyal companion and friend.
Ginger recently celebrated her third birthday, and was the best traveling dog anyone could have imagined when we all went to Key West for Colleen's wedding.
We love you, Ging, so much. Thank you for being the best doggie in the world.
